Experience the easiest, most exhilarating, way to encounter the world’s most famous mountain; then celebrate with a sky-high Champagne picnic, Everest in full view.

Overview

Come face to face with some of the world’s highest peaks before setting down for a full service champagne breakfast at one of the world’s highest resorts, Kongde Lodge (4,250m), with breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan range. Your helicopter ride begins early morning in Kathmandu, with a short stop in Lukla. Heli tour of the Everest region is an overwhelming and unique way to experience the mountains. After breakfast, and time to explore your snowy surroundings, you’ll return to Kathmandu.

Route

Even trekkers are not privy to the stunning vantage points and birds-eye views of glaciers and lakes seen on this helicopter tour. Your pre-breakfast ride offers breathtaking views of Khumbu valley, including monasteries perched on hilltops, stone hamlets on mountain ridges, and lush gorges. Most memorable, however, is surely the few minutes floating above what seems like an endless expanse of Himalayan peaks in all directions, as far as the eyes can see, and the camera can shoot. Upon touching down at Kongde, the scene remains exceptional, and your meal unforgettable. Note: Dom Perignon and altitude can make you giddy!

Trip Info & Details

  • Scrumptious Breakfast spread.

Note:

Additional charges will be applied for Champagne and Heli ride.

Late March to late April offers clear weather and relative calm before Everest expedition teams descend on the region and then the days start to become rainy and overcast in May.

October and November may be the most ideal time to visit, with most of the tourists gone and the monsoon season over, making way for crisp, pre-winter days. During these four months expect comfortable temperatures and blue skies during the day, and opportunities for some exceptional long-exposure photography and many shooting stars at night.

If traveling between May and September, expect damp and overcast weather on the trail, and with it weather-related delays for flights in and out of Kathmandu.
